We’ve had chooks for many years – in the heart of the city and on remote cattle properties on the Queensland/NT border – and we’ve kept them in every possible type of enclosure. Over the last few years we have had chook tractors. We’ve found this to be the best of all possible ways to keep chicken – and we’ve had them in the country and the city too.

Having made quite a few for friends who have all loved having fresh eggs, and after a bit of a nudge from my family, I’ve started making them for sale.

Here you'll find info about the chook tractors, eggs, recipes, looking after your chooks and so on.

About me

I'm Lee and I designed the chook tractors. It was a long process working out the kinks - but I'm happy with the end result.

My family and I lived on cattle properties, then in regional towns, then in the inner city of Brisbane, and now we have moved to a small acreage on the outskirts of Brisbane. In each of these places we have had chooks - and I think they are happiest in chook tractors.

I'm Kim - Lee's daughter. I have six children which translates to needing cheap and nutritious meals - which in turn translates to chooks in the backyard. I don't do any of the manufacturing for the chook tractors but I do use up the eggs.
